WILLIAM UTZ
William Utz died in his Novato home Tuesday after a long illness. He was 92.
A native of Illinois, he moved to California and settled in Novato in 1953.
He was a retired farmer, who spent most of his career in Minnesota. He also homesteaded a ranch in Colorado.
He was the husband of the late Erna Utz, who died in 1973.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Arno Utz and Donald Utz, both of Novato; three daughters, Hertha Buss of Rialto, San Bernardino County, Verna Drewelow of Minnesota, and Darlene Faustine of Novato; a sister, Minnie Gunderman of Minnesota; a brother, John Utz of Colorado; and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are pending at Redwood Chapel Funeral Home in Novato. He will be buried in Cypress Hill Cemetery in Petaluma.

A notice in the Oct. 30th paper adds that funeral service was to be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Novao.
