FRANCIS A. ECKEL
Private funeral was held today for Francis A. Eckel, 64, former San Rafael resident. He died unexpectedly Monday at his home in San Francisco.
A native of Texas, he had gone to Caracus, Venezuela, where he worked for the Creole Petroleum Co. for 20 years. He had lived in California for the past 15 years. For 10 years, from 1958 to 1968 he was a Dodge salesman in San Rafael.
He is survived by two sisters, Eva White of Santa Rosa and Eva Sherod of Houston, Tex. and a brother, Wesley Eckles (sic) of Fresno.
Interment was at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
