Death Notices
HALL – Margaret Nelson Hall, aged 97, a longtime resident of San Rafael, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 1996, at Aldersly Retirement Home. Mrs. Hall came to Marin County in 1921 to teach at the Olema School. She later taught in Larkspur and in the San Rafael schools. She was married to the late Nelson Hall, a member of the pioneer Nelson family at Olema. Mrs. Hall was keenly interested in local history and shared her knowledge with the Marin Historical Society. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and the San Rafael Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn H. Holloway of Williamsburg, Va., two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced, and burial will be in the Olema Cemetery. Keaton’s Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
