Father of Deputy Clerk C. McCrum Passes in Indiana
Charles McCrum, deputy county clerk, received word Monday that his father, Thomas H. McCrum, had passed away at his home in Huntington, Indiana, and that the funeral was to be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30.
McCrum boarded an air liner Tuesday at Mills Field and expected to arrive in Huntington in time for the funeral.
The senior McCrum was 88 years of age on Dec. 5. He was born in Indiana. His death is attributed to advanced age. His wife passed away in 1928.
Thomas McCrum was the father of nine children, six sons and three daughters, all of whom are living. A short time ago the entire family held a reunion at their old home, and the father at that time was in the best of health. He also visited the Pacific Coast some time ago, remaining in Mill Valley with his son for some time.
Chas. McCrum is the only member [of] the family living west of the Mississippi River. He expects to remain in the East until after the holidays returning to the clerk’s office the first of the year.
