Sausalito Artist Dies
Harry J. Dirksen, Sausalito artist, interior decorator and painter, died yesterday at a local hospital after a long illness. He was born in Iowa 54 years ago.
A Sausalito resident for the past 25 years, Dirksen made his home at 65 Sunshine avenue, with his wife, Mrs. Martha Dirksen, who survives him.
He is survived by two sons, James and John Dirksen, two daughters, Sue Dirksen, all of the Dirksen home in Sausalito, Mrs. Joan Reeves of Corte Madera, three sisters, Mrs. Ann Krueger of Concord, Mrs. Clara Scott of Los Angeles, Mrs. Katherine Grossman, and two brothers, Robert and George Dirksen, South Dakota, George Dirksen of Fresno, and a granddaughter, Roberta Reeves.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Frank J. Keaton Mortuary, Sausalito. Burial service is to be announced later.
