JAMES ALBERT ROYALL
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday for James Albert Royall of San Rafael, a retired Marin County carpenter.
Mr. Royall, who was 71, died Thursday, July 23, 1987, at the Veterans Hospital in San Francisco of complications following surgery.
He was a native of Fort Worth.
Mr. Royall first came to San Rafael in 1958 but moved to Redwood City following the death of his wife, Juanita Royall, in 1964. He returned to San Rafael four years ago.
He worked as a carpenter for many years, both independently and for other contractors.
Mr. Royall also served in the Army during World War II.
For the past few years, Mr. Royall was an active member of the Whistlestop senior citizens group.
He is survived by two sons, James Royall of Visalia and Thomas Royall of San Rafael; a daughter, Carri Schelly of Palo Alto; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at the National Cemetery in the Presidio of San Francisco.
