WELCH - In San Anselmo, February 4, 1947, Arthur U., beloved husband of Elizabeth M. Welch, loving father of Myrtle L. Newland of Oakland and Arthur U. Welch Jr., of San Francisco, brother of Mollie Sullivan of Healdsburg, grandfather of Barbara L. Rooney, Dorothy V. Welch, Lucille Johnson, Virginia and Lela Newland, great-grandfather of Lynne Carol Rooney and Karen E. and Janice Johnson. A native of San Francisco, aged 76 years. A member of the Widow and Orphan's Mutual Aid and Veterans' Fireman Association of San Francisco, the David Scannell Club and the Ancient Order of Foresters of San Francisco.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral service Friday, February 7, at 9:30 o'clock a.m. from Duggan's Funeral Service, 3434 17th street, San Francisco, thence to Mission Dolores Church, where a requiem high mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul commencing at 10 a.m. Mr. Welch will be at Keaton's Mortuary, San Rafael until 1 p.m. Thursday.
