Lineman Drowns Near Greenbrae
Their efforts of two days rewarded, a searching party Sunday morning recovered the body of Charles Sullivan, a telephone company cable repair worker, who was drowned Friday afternoon near the Greenbrae Bridge.
Sullivan, who lived at 2851 Harrison Street, San Francisco, and a fellow workman named Peters, had finished work Friday afternoon and started to row ashore. According to Peters, both men sat in the stern of the boat, a small one, and the craft up-ended. Sullivan, wearing a heavy pair of rubber boots, sank immediately. Peters, after a hard struggle, reached the shore. Sullivan was 24 years of age and unmarried.
The body was taken to San Francisco Sunday afternoon by Coroner J. Ray Keaton.
