Fairfax Man Found Dead In His Deer Park Home
John Formali Succumbs to Hemorrhage Last Saturday
The unexplained absence from his usual haunts of John Formali, who lives in Deer Park, led to the discovery of his remains, lying in his bed last Monday.
Mrs. C. O. Koch, who lives in the neighborhood, missed the deceased on Sunday and Monday. She mentioned the fact to Mr. Biasotti, another neighbor, who stated that Formali had not been to work in the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph building in San Francisco where he had been employed.
The two went to Formali’s house, but no response came to their knocks, though an electric light was seen burning inside.
The circumstances were decided mysterious enough to merit an investigation, so Police Officer Andrew Perri was called.
Upon his arrival the door was broken open and the missing man found lying across the bed. Death had probably occurred Saturday night, from a hemorrhage.
The coroner was called and the remains taken to an undertaking parlor.
The deceased was a member of the San Rafael Lodge of Eagles. He leaves a wife and two children in Italy. He had spent several years in Fairfax, and was well liked by those who knew him.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later, after an inquest has been held.
