Walter Thompson Rites Will Be Held In San Francisco
Funeral services will be held in San Francisco tomorrow for Walter Thompson, 71, writer and veteran newspaper man, who died at his summer home in Mill Valley yesterday.
Thompson worked as a Chicago reporter for many years before coming to San Francisco. Illness caused him to resign his position as exchange editor of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Thompson has spent many summers in Mill Valley and was a well liked member of its literary society.
