Fortune of $20,000 Won By Chase Boys

Frank Chase, whose mother passed away three years ago and left him, her oldest boy, to care for his three little brothers, is richer today by $20,000, through the decision of the Supreme Court of Nebraska which decrees that he is share in the estate left by his dead mother.

On her death bed his mother informed him that a short time before she had deeded to a distant relative for $200 her interest in property owned by her parents in Greeley, Neb. It was represented to her, she aid, to be of very little value. She needed money to support her children and to pay the bills incident to her last illness and funeral.

Some weeks after her death Frank related the story to Attorney Roy C. Lewis. Lewis investigated and learned that the property was situated in the heart of Greeley, a city of some size. Lewis, instituting proceedings through a Greeley attorney, sought to set aside the deed. The suit failed in the lower court. It was carried to the Supreme Court, and word came Monday that the decision had bee reversed, thus thwarting the efforts of the Nebraska relatives to gain title to the valuable property.

Frank Chase, who has married since his mother’s death, now resides in Sausalito and is providing a home for his younger brother. He is employed by the Golden Gate Ferry Company in the San Francisco office. The other two brothers are employed in San Rafael.
