The will of the late Jean Escalle bequeaths property valued at about $30,000, including Limerick Inn at Escalle Station, and money in the San Rafael banks, one-half outright to his brother, Peter Escalle, and one-half to his widow, Wilhelmina as a life estate. Upon her death one-quarter of the estate goes to a sister of the deceased, Ernestine Provensal of Fruitvale, and one-quarter to a daughter of his brother, Ellen Escalle, in France. Peter Escalle and his widow, Wilhemena [spelled 2 ways] Escalle, are executors of the estate under the will.
