Attorney Files Contest To Mother’s Will

July 12th has been set as the date for the hearing of the contest filed by Frederick J. Crisp to prevent the probating of the will of his late mother, Mrs. Eliza Ann Crisp.

Crisp alleges that two grandchildren, the Misses Dorothy and Winifred Wintler, of San Francisco, exercised undue influence upon his mother during her illness before her death, and succeeded in getting her to discard a former will, in which he was named as a legatee, and make out the document now on file in which he is not mentioned.

The legatees and devisees set out in the later document are all grandchildren of the dead woman. They are the Misses Wintler, Margery Crisp, Jane Crisp, daughter of the contestant, and Edward and Louise Counter.

Mrs. Crisp died at her home in San Anselmo in December of 1919 at the age of 74 years.
