Will Disposes Of $24,925 Estate Of David Steele
In a brief holographic will filed for probate in the Superior Court here this morning, David Steele, well known north Marin rancher and former supervisor, disposed of his estate which at the time of his death was valued at $24,925.
It consists of $4,925.00 in personal property and the ranch, 360 acres, valued at $20,000.
The will was made May 14, 1929, and says “In case I am called here is a note for $5000 and I wish it to be divided equally between Edith Simpton and Jennie Lundy, 50-50, my two daughters, as John and Charley (his sons) have got their share.
“The home place I want my wife to have and all the personal property that is mine. I have money in the bank, use it as far as it goes to bury me.
“At my wife’s death I wish her to give the home place to the two boys and give the two girls whatever she thinks is right.”
