Hodges’ Will Leaves Wife His Estate
Sportscaster Russ Hodges of Mill Valley left an estate estimated at more than $50,000 to his wife, Gay, according to a will filed for probate yesterday in Marin Superior Court.
Hodges, broadcasting voice of the New York and San Francisco Giants for 22 years, died April 19 after collapsing, apparently of a heart attack, at his home.
The will filed yesterday was dated march 28, 1963, and left his entire estate to his wife.
In a petition for probate filed with the will, the estate was estimated to be worth “upwards” of $50,000 and also estimated to provide an annual income of “upwards” of $1,000.
The estate consists entirely of securities and real property, according to the petition.
In addition to his wife, Hodges is survived by a son, Pat, of Burlingame, and a daughter, Judy, of Florida.
