Estate of Henry Buss
I Henry Buss a resident of Novato Marin County California do hereby make publish and declare this my last Will and testament in the manner following:
First: I hereby declare that I am now of sound and disposing mind and memory and that I am not acting….. under any menance duress ...
Second: I hereby revoke all wills or codicils heretofore made by me.
Third: I hereby nominate and appoint G. V. Noel of Novato California the executor of this will…without bond….and with full power and authority to sell any of the property of my estate……
Fourth: I direct my said executor to pay all my funeral bills and expenses of my last illness and all calims legally owing by me at the time of my death.
Fifth: I hereby declare that I am a widower and that I have no and never have had any children legitimate or otherwise. If any person should establish in a court that he or she is a child or grandchild of mine or otherwise entitled to share in my estate except under this will then I give and bequeath unto such person if there be more than one then to each of them the sum of One dollar and no more.
Heirs:
Modesto Homeres, Buss’ Essex automobile and all accessories thereto
Dolores P. Homeres, guardian of Modesto, a minor, repayment of promissory note
Catherine Hiesely – one seventh share – being of Accrington, Co. of Lancaster, Eng.
Mary Jane Hiesely – one seventh share - ditto
Thomas Hiesely – one seventh share - ditto
John Hiesely – one seventh share - ditto
Henry Hiesely – one seventh share - ditto
James Robert Hiesely – one seventh share - ditto
Mrs. Ella Noel of Black Point – one seventh share

Executor Noel attested that he knew of no heirs at law nor next of kin. All legatees’ relationship to Henry Buss were designated as “stranger”

Emelie Buss, wife of Henry Buss, predeceased him and in her will left everything to him.

1. Catherine Smith, formerly Hiesely, appeared before Wallace E. Moessner, U.S. Vice Consul at Manchester, England, county of Lancaster, and proved her identity
2. Mary Jane Bolton, formerly Hiesely, appeared as above
3. James Robert Hiesely appeared as above
4. John Hiesely appeared as above
5. Myra Hiesely appeared before H. Watson, U.S. Vice Consul at Liverpool, England, County of Lancaster, and proved her identity
6. Elsie Hiesely appeared as above

Thomas Hiesely died 25 October 1914 and left one son named John Hiesely, born 5 Feb. 1913 who was living with his mother Edith in Accrington
Harry (Henry) Hiesely died 20 May 1920 and left children living with their mother, Myra Hiesely at Toxteth Park, Liverpool, England: Myra, born 18 March 1909; Elsie May, born 29 October 1910; Henry, born 18 March 1914; Thomas, both 12 August 1916.
The estate packet includes marriage records for the Hieselys as well as death certificates for Thomas and Henry and birth certificates for their children.
Distribution:
A full one seventh share to the Hieselys was $661.31; Myra and Elsie, children of Henry Hiesely, $169.04
