Around 1917 - 1918, my Grandfather Karl H Schulz was a musician at the the Panama Cafe on the corner of Mason & Ellis St., in San Francisco. The employee was Albert Hartman.
Karl lived at 238 Eddy St in San Francisco.
Was 238 Eddy St a rooming house or was there a hotel at that site in 1917-1918 ?
What was the Panama Cafe like in 1917-1918 ?
Are there any family members of Albert Hartman around the area ?
