A photograph of the group, including my great grandfather, John Lowrie, with or on the ship, Alaska, when they left in 1882 for the minefields of Alaska. Also an interview with my great grandmother, Mary (what was her last name?), his wife, after it was determined that some of the group had been lost at sea in Oct. 1883.
