My father Lee Loberg was only twenty when he walked across the Golden Gate Bridge the day it opened in 1939.

Further back and not so fun was my Grandma's memories of being 14 snd living in a tentin Golden Gate Park to avoid gas fires after the 06 quake. She lived on Beulah Street near what is now the Haight. She was Avia Tietjen.
