Ron - Here is a lake memory for you - I went to San Francisco State College in the early '60s and took a sailing class at Lake Merced. We made our boats in a boathouse, putting layers and layers of fiberglas on the framework with some incredibly smelly (and probably toxic) compound. Then we learned to sail, sort of, around the lake. Part of the class was tipping over and learning how to right the boat, in the cold, foggy mornings. Great fun!
