My favorite spot is the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. In the late 1950's my grandmother would take me there. We would bring a small bag of peanuts in the shell and feed the squirrels in one of the quieter areas that didn't get a lot of foot traffic. The squirrels got to know us so well they would sit on her shoulder where she had placed a peanut.
