Garrets Ice Cream - Dalmatians?

In the 1950's I purchased a Dalmatian puppy from a Garret family in Pacifica. The puppy was named by the breeder as "Garret's Mint Wendy".
Believe it was the same Garrets that owned the ice cream store.
