I loved growing up in the City. I remember going downtown at Christmas and going on the roof rides, City of Paris, the elevators at Macy's, the street cars on Geary and most of all the scarey fog horns at night. One of my earliest memories is Playland. I was scared to death of the Laughing Lady! Didn't like that diving bell either.
