We copy the following paragraph from the Alta Californian, a paper published in San Francisco:
Accidentally Drowned – We learn verbally Hugh AGNEW, a blacksmith, and formerly a private in Company H., 1st N.Y. Regiment, was accidentally drowned in the Sacramento river, at Sutter’s embarcadero, a few days since. He was originally from Albany, N.Y., where we believe he now has a mother and other relatives.
