MELANCHOLY - Mr. R. BAKER, one of the proprietors of the El Dorado, at Stockton, left San Francisco some two months since to meet his wife and family at Panama. They started for San Francisco on board the
Northerner. On their way up, he and his wife were taken with fever and died, leaving four orphan children.
