EDWARD R. SMITH

The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o’clock from Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue at Junipero Serra Boulevard, Daly City, for Edward R. Smith, 52, 1016 Wildwood Avenue, who died suddenly Monday.

A native of San Francisco and an alumnus of USF, Class of 1935, he was Dean of Boys at Galileo High School. He was also a member of the San Francisco Elks Club.

Survivors are his wife, Alice Reilly Smith, two sons, Richard, and David Smith; two daughters, Sally Smith and Mrs. Susan Gallagher; and two brothers, Robert and Charles Smith. Four grandchildren also survive.

Services will be held tomorrow from the mortuary at 8:30 a.m. A requiem mass will be offered from Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery.
