Dead is Ronald Fennema, 22, of 1200 South Norfolk Street.

The truck and trailer were being connected at the loading dock of the Quality Distribution Company on Station Avenue in Daly City. It slipped from its block and pinned the young victim between the concrete loading platform at the plant and the loaded 27 foot trailer.

The victim’s best friend, Terry Williams, 24, of 515 South Norfolk was the driver of the truck and was helping to make the connection.

When the trailer slipped off, Williams go out of the truck to see what was the matter. He found his friend pinned between the platform and trailer.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at Mary’s Help Hospital.

Fennema was a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, he came to California tow and a half years ago. He is survived by his wife, Shannon, a 17 month-old son Ronald, and a three year old daughter, Becky.
