GENERAL HINKLE

Interment at Golden Gate National Cemetery will follow funeral services this morning at 10:30 at St. Francis Episcopal Church, San Fernando Way and Ocean Ave., SF, for Brig. Gene. Thornton Mills Hinkle, USMC, who died at his Daly City home May 23.

Retired from the Marine Corps in 1956, General Hinkel, 51, survived landings at Gaipan, Okinawa and Korea, where he was wounded at Inchon.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen C. Hinkle, and Thorton Hinkle, Jr. He was a native of Ohio. Affiliations included the Press Club.

Funeral arrangements were by N. Gray & Co., 4000 Nineteenth Ave., SF.
