DC Mother Of Five Killed In Crash

A 37 year old Daly City woman, mother of five children, was killed Wednesday when her car crashed into a two foot brick wall on the Great Highway near Golden Gate Park Drive.

Mary Jonas, 889 Skyline Drive, died as firemen fought to free her from the twisted wreckage of her car while a passenger in the Jonas auto, Charlotte de Cambra, 29, was treated at Mission Emergency for internal and leg injuries.

She was reported to be in satisfactory condition at San Francisco County hospital.

According to police the Jonas auto was going approximately 60 miles per hour when it went out of control about 2 a.m. Wednesday and slammed into the wall.

Mrs. Jonas is survived by her husband, Hermand Jonas, a merchant seaman, and five children, Sue, 3, Santia, 6, Rebecca, Redwin, 15, and Rosemary, 16.
