FRANK MOLLOY

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery followed Requiem Mass at St. Stephen’s Church and services by McAvoy O’Hara Co., Monday morning from Frank Molloy, 82, who died Nov. 19 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

A native of County Donegal, Ireland, Mr. Molloy was a SF businessman for more than half a century. A tavern operator South of Market before prohibition, he managed a bar at 12th and Howard Sts. After repeal and later opened Molloy’s Springs No. 2 on Mission Road in Colma, taking its name after Adams Springs in Lake County.

A past president of the United Irish Societies, the deceased was the husband of Martha Molloy and the father of William J. and Lanty Molloy of Colma, Mrs. Martha Shea of Colma, Mrs. Coletta Dybrack of Sacramento, and Mrs. Claire May of Los Gatos. Survivors include twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
