NORMAN JOSEPH BISS
Norman J. Biss 76, 237 Irving drive, San Mateo, died Saturday at Community hospital. A native of Bristol, England, Biss was a local resident for 30 years.

He owned and operated the Atthowe Printing Company in San Francisco 42 years, up to 1947. He was a member of the San Mateo Elks lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Edith; two sons, Lenard N. Biss of San Rafael and Stanley J. Biss of San Anselmo; and a daughter, Mrs. E. Norman Dene of San Carlos; three brothers and two sisters in England; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

An Elks memorial service will be held tomorrow night at 8:00 at Patterson and O'Connell chapel with officers of San Mateo lodge No. 1112 officiating. Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold W. Robinson of the 1st Congregational church of San Mateo officating. Interment will be in Cypress Lawn Memorial park.
