CATHERINE O’BRIEN

Funeral rites were conducted yesterday morning for Catherine M. (Kay) O’Brien, 42, the wife of Thomas D. O’Brien. Mrs. O’Brien died May 4 in SF.

A native of San Francisco, the deceased was the mother of Sharon and Robin O’Brien and the daughter of Clara and the late Neal McGarry. She was the sister of Claire, John A., and Vincent J. McGarry. Other relatives also survive her.

Mrs. O’Brien was a member of the Westlake Catholic Women, St. Mary’s Auxiliary Guild and the Mother’s Guild of Mercy High School.

Services started at McAvoy O’Hara Co. at 9 a.m. From there the cortege moved to Our Lady of Mercy Church for Requiem Mass and to Holy Cross Cemetery for interment.
