MARY ELLEN FREELAND

Funeral services were held yesterday in Pacifica for Mary Ellen Freeland, who died January 14 in Burlingame. She was 88.

A native of Alton, Illinois, she had resided with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Annawill (Peggy) Freeland, at 1152 Cervantes Drive, Pacifica, for the past 20 years.

She was the mother of the late Joseph Freeland of Pacifica, and beside her daughter-in-law, she is survived by a niece, Mrs. Florence Pownall, Kent, Ohio, and a nephew, Karl LaRussa, East St. Louis, Illinois.

Interment was at Olivet Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements were by the Nauman and Lincoln Chapel By The Sea. Rev. Gene Davis, minister of the First Baptist Church of Linda Mar, officiated.
