DC Boy Dies on Carrot

A three-year-old Daly City boy died Sunday morning when a piece of raw carrot became lodged in his throat.

Dead is Scott Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morton Miller of 340 Lake Merced Boulevard. The child died shortly before noon when artificial resuscitation efforts by neighbors and members of the Daly City Fire Department failed.

The incident occurred as he was playing with several other children in the courtyard of the apartment complex. He was declared dead on arrival at Mary’s Help Hospital.
