Margot L. Hunter, a six-year resident of the Coastside, died at her Half Moon Bay home on March 29, at age 70.

Mrs. Hunter was born in San Francisco, where she graduated from Lincoln High School six months early because of good grades. She went on to the three-year nursing program at then-French Hospital, from which she graduated in 1957.

She worked at a community hospital in Lodi and a Sacramento hospital, and then for 10 years in a supervisory capacity at Foundation Health medical insurance company before her retirement.

Even after she retired, she kept her nursing license current for the rest of her life, said her daughter, Vicki Oliver of Acampo, Calif.

She settled on the Coastside, a place that both she and her husband had previously visited and loved.

"Her children and grandchildren were the most important things to her in her life," said her son-in-law, Kenny Oliver. "She was a little angel. Absolutely loving and willing to help anybody."

Mrs. Hunter is preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, Tom Hunter, who died in 1996. She is survived by her son Lance Eymann of Lodi, her daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Kenny Oliver of Acampo, and grandchildren Lauren, Meagan and Madison Oliver, and Taylor and Ricky Eymann.

She is also survived by her brothers Larry and Denny Dubour and stepsister Glenda Piccininni.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10 N. Mills St. in Lodi.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
