Funeral rites were conducted yesterday in Pacifica for David Taylor, 3, who died Dec. 23 from burns suffered in a Dec. 4 cable car crash in SF.
David, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor of 1212 Crespi Dr., Pacifica, was the brother of Robin, Patricia and James Taylor. He was born in Kodiak, Alaska.
Final rites for the boy were at St. Edmund’s Episcopal Church. Interment was at Skylawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Dutra-Randleman Chapel in Half Moon Bay.

Brake Mystery Probed in Fiery Cable Car Crash
Why a ride on the Hyde street cable turned suddenly into an inferno of flying bodies and crunching steel still could not be answered yesterday.
If officials of the Municipal Railway knew what caused the fiery crash on Sunday night at Hyde and Bay streets, they weren’t saying.
Wholesale lawsuits appeared imminent.
As the number of persons known injured rose to 43, the Municipal Railway announced a full-scale investigation into the causes of the disaster.

11 Remain in Hospitals
Eleven persons remained in hospitals yesterday after Sunday night’s cable car accident on Hyde street.
One victim continued in critical condition and a 3 year old boy was in serious condition with extensive second-degree burns.
In Letterman Hospital David Taylor, 3 of 1212 Crespi drive, Pacifica, in serious condition, was reported recovering.
Also at Letterman, but in excellent condition, were the boys father, Coast Guardsman Robert Taylor 30, his mother Judith, 25; brother James 5; and sisters Patricia, 7 and Judith, 8.
The elder Taylor’s brother, Vietnam war veteran Specialist 4th class Sidney E. Taylor, was also in excellent condition
