Doctors Lose Fight to Save Boy

A young Daly City boy, involved in a traffic accident in front of 126 Santa Paula Drive Saturday afternoon, died in the emergency room of Mary’s Help Hospital minutes after the accident as doctors there worked furiously to keep him alive.

Details concerning the accident that resulted in fatal injuries to the boy, Alan Roth, 8, 110 Santa Paula Street, were not immediately available from police.

A hospital spokesman said the boy died from an “acute loss of blood.”

The boy’s death is the second traffic fatality recorded win Daly City this year, police said.

It was not immediately learned whether the boy was a passenger in a pickup truck involved in the accident or whether he was a pedestrian.
