HENNING BERGSTROM

Henning Bergstrom, 67, passed away in SM Feb. 7 as a result of a hit and run accident in Redwood City Feb. 4.

A retired carpenter, he is survived by his son, Karl Bergstrom, San Bruno; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Borhsich, Fairfield, Colorado; and a sister, Mrs. Inga Lindstum, Greenville.

Service will be held from the Nauman-Lincoln Mortuary, 322 Maple Ave., SSF, tomorrow at 2 p.m. under the direction of Rec. Robert Lundy of St. Paul’s Methodist Church. Interment will be at Olivet Memorial Park.

Run Over in Parking Lot

A 67 year old Redwood City man was reported in good condition today after suffering multiple injuries yesterday when he was struck down by a hit-run vehicle in the parking lot of a restaurant.

Henning Algat Bergstom, who resides in the hotel area above the Club Village, Charter Street and Middlefield Road, was found critically injured in the parking area of the club shortly before 4:30 p.m.

Attendants at Sequoia Hospital said the injured man has two pelvic fractures, numerous rib fractures, a fractured left leg, cuts of both arms, hands, legs and feet, facial cuts and abrasions.

Police said that a cab driver, Joseph Silva Jr., reported he had picked up Bergstrom at a bar and drove him to the Club Village where he left Bergstom propped against a car in the north parking lot because the man appeared intoxicated.

The car was described by Silva as a white 1965 model Dodge Dart. Police are seeking the driver of the car for questioning.
