JESSIE WEST

Private funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon from Duggan’s Serra Mortuary for Mrs. Jessie West who died April 6 in Santa Clara after a long illness.

Mrs. West was the mother of Thomas and Janet West. For many years the family home was in Daly City.

A member of Wesley Methodist Church and the YWCAs of San Francisco and San Mateo, Mrs. West was a leader in Parent Teacher Assn. Activities in the North County. She served on the executive boards of several PTA local Units, including James Snell, Benjamin Franklin and Vista Mar, filled appointive positions in the Seventeenth District of the California Congress of parents and Teachers and was the charter president of the Jefferson Council of PTAs, a group she was highly instrumental in organizing and building.

After the 2 p.m. rites inurnment was completed at Olivet Memorial Park.
