Antone Gravance

Antone William Gravance, a native of Half Moon Bay and an employee of the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge Co. from 1930 to 1960, died Jan. 1 at his home in Montgomery Creek, Shasta County, Calif. He was 67.

Gravance left Half Moon Bay in 1962. He had worked on the bridge as a patrolman, toll collector, and lift span operator.

Surviving are three daughters, Jean DuMont of Half Moon Bay, and Emily Del Carlo and Paula Favrate, both of Fremont; and three sisters, Rose Cross of Half Moon Bay, Emily Crossfield of Vacaville, and Philemena Kingston of Santa Cruz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said Wednesday at 9:30 at Our Lady of the Pillar Church, Half Moon Bay, following services at Dutra Randleman Funeral Home, 645 Kelly Ave., Half Moon Bay. Interment will be in Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto.

Rosary Payer services for Antone Gravance, former Half Moon Bay resident for over a half century, will be offered tonight at Dutra Randleman Funeral Home, 645 Kelly Ave., Half Moon Bay.

Gravance died Jan. 1 at his home in Mongomery Creek, Shasta County, Calif.

The funeral cortege will leave the funeral chapel tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, Half Moon Bay where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto.
