Interment at Golden Gate National Cemetery will follow funeral services to start at noon tomorrow, Aug. 4, at the San Bruno Funeral Home, 200 West San Bruno Ave., San Bruno, for 2nd Lt. Dorris E. Patton, 34, who died in Quang Tri, South Vietnam on July 22.

The husband of JoAnn Patton of 2 Randall Court, Broadmoor Village, Colma, Lt. Patton was the father of Dennis, Dale, Deborah, Deneen and Denita Patton. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dorsy Patton of SF. He was the brother of William R. Patton of SSF, and James and Robert Patton of SF. The deceased was a 14-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Colma Man Is Killed In Vietnam

A Colma marine was killed in Vietnam by the Viet Cong last week. He is Second Lt. Dorris E. Patton, who was promoted to the officer rank from sergeant only two weeks ago.

The father of six children, Lt. Patton, 34, was killed in the Quang Tri region of South Vietnam where he was wounded four months earlier.

His wife, Mrs. Jo Ann Patton, and six children live at 2 Randall Court in Colma.

He was a 14 year veteran of the Marine Corps. He was assigned to the Second Battalion, Third Marine Division. He attended Balboa High School in San Francisco and enlisted in the Marine Corps shortly after graduation.
