Funeral services were conducted Monday for Dr. Jerry C. Miles, 48, of Pacifica, a member of the Jefferson Union High School District board of trustees and a staff member of the California Podiatry Hospital in SF. The Peninsula civic leader, who died Sept. 9 at Veteran’s Administration Hospital in SF. Is survived by his wife, Edith; three children, Regina, Jimmy and Jerry Jr.; a brother Marvin Miles, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Miller, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry S. Miles. A Nebraskan, Dr. Miles was the first city treasurer of Pacifica, and was past president of the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce. During WWII he was a member of the Army Medical Corps. Funeral services were conducted by Nauman & Lincoln’s Chapel by the Sea in Pacifica. Interment was at Golden Gate National Cemetery.
