LAURA LEE FERNANDEZ
A Mass of the Angels was said Monday from SS Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in San Francisco for Laura Lee Fernandez, six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fernandez, 137 Thiers Street.
Laura, a native of San Francisco and a first grade student at Vista Grande Grammar School, died suddenly on October 27 in Daly City. Besides her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Steven, Anthony, and John Edward, and her grandmothers, Mrs. Janice MacDonald and Angelina Fernandez.
Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Duggan’s Serra Mortuary.

Six Year Old Girl Killed In Accident
A six year old Daly City girl was killed Thursday afternoon when she went from between two parked cars into the path of a car traveling along Hillside Boulevard.
The victim is Laurie Lee Fernandez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fernandez of 137 Theirs Street. She died at Mary’s Help Hospital of head injuries received in the accident at 3:30.
According to witnesses, the girl, a student at Vista Grande School, left the house and unknown to her mother, walked from between two parked cars in the 500 block of Hillside into the path of a car driven by Mrs. Athena Passaglia of Daly City.
The 11-year old daughter of Mrs. Passaglia screamed just before the impact. Mrs. Passaglia had not seen the six year old.
It was the second young child killed within the past two weeks in the North County. Linda Reid of South San Francisco was killed at Clay Street on Junipero Serra Boulevard on Oct. 19.
