I lived on 4lst between Taravel and Ulloa!
I couldn't find the stables the last time I was down. It's so long ago - I remember an inner courtyard of brick?? With big wood
doors - so much for my memory.

: I lived on the corner of 48th and Taravel St. And, YES I remember the stable at 48th and Judah. I believe my aunt stabled a horse there. However, I too took riding lessons from McKellor and asst.
: Wasn't Mrs. McKellor's horse named Goldie ( Palomino ) ?.
: Yes, the tall blk. horse was named Midnight. Midnight had smooth gates. How about the Buckskin named Mouse ...?
: My birthday present every yr. was to rent" Mouse" for all day. To ride along the beach, into the Golden Gate Park and back again.
: I was also one to help/work @ the Palomar stable.
: I also took english riding classes Mar Vista.
