: Hi, Inez Jones was my grandmother, I am desperately trying to find the album she made in 1957 with Oscar Moore. And I agree her voice was beautiful. She sang at The Filmore to a standing room only audience for years until the manager fired her over something very small, when asked to return, she declined. Any information you have will be greatly appreciated.

: : Inez Jones, a velvet throated jazz singer at a bar (The Rainbow?) in the Haight-Ashbury district in the 196Os. She could sing anything, and had the most beautiful voice since, and maybe including, Ella Fitzgerald.

I agree!! I used to sit around the piano bar at the New Rainbow during the early 60's enjoying Inez Jones. I finally obtained her album "Have you met Inez Jones"--It has provided me with a lot of great memory triggers .
